STORY TIME
well this is a story i heard. It is true and very moving. I wanted to share it with yal;
One morning, this Priest woke up thinking about an old friend. He didn't know why he kept on thinking about him; he hadn't seen or talked to this friend in over 15 years and he now lived hundreds of miles away from his friend. He began his morning prayers and still the friend couldn't leave his mind. This was a friend whom they had gone way back...way back before he was a priest, before seminary...oh they had gone through so much together...back then you would have never thought this priest would choose such a vocation. As the priest attempted to go through his prayers, he finally was like, ok God, there has to be something..i will call him...that is the only way to clear my head. The priest has the friend's number and the phone rings a few times and just as the priest was about to hang up because he thought no one was there, the phone picks up and it's his friend. The priest goes 'hey remember me, friend? i was just calling you. i kept on thinking about you and just wanted to call and see how you were" As the friends begin to converse, the friend breaks down in tears and the priest is taken back a bit but comforts him. the friend says "no you don't understand. A few months ago, my family and i were in a car accident and i lost my wife and two kids. I have been left paralyzed. I am useless. i am so depressed. I was praying to God that he send a sign that he exists....and then the phone immediately rang...it was you" --
a little weird yet miraculous isn't it? God is just so great and continues to amaze me more and more each day. As my priest told this story of him and this talk he had with HIS friend, it was so moving...wellmore later...
