oh so many things have happened that it's is just sooo...well..overwhelming. let's just say that almost if not all of my plans changed not once...not twice...but like three times...didn't get to see the caves of carlsbad caverns BUT i did get to see one of my high school friends walk down the aisle and get married. i didn't get to arlington the day i wanted BUT i did get to see my nephew an extra time since the next time i see him he will be 4 months old. i didn't drive 'all' of the way to arlington BUT i did drive all but the first 30 minutes of it. All in all a great past week.
So the bulk of my extended family got to arlington friday night...each getting lost somewhere along the way for one reason or another. Got teary eyed as we cheered my brother on as he walked across the stage...laughing so hard that my side began to hurt b/c my uncle sitting next to me just kept on joking...then the family party...there were tears in everyone's eyes as my brother gave his 'speech' but they were some very happy tears...THEN came the big announcement.....drum roll....My brother made it official: He and Sarah are 'officially' engaged. it is so sweet! The wedding won't be for a few years but at least they are in this stage now...since of course just about everything minus the dress and cake have been bought..
well i just finished for the most part settling into my room..still have some needed shopping..but i'm exhausted...so..laters...
